How to Set Contact Lead Purpose is Changed in Automation Trigger?

The Contact Lead Purpose is Changed automation trigger to automatically initiate workflows whenever a contact's Lead Purpose is updated. This ensures your automations respond to the latest changes, improve workflow efficiency, and keep your business processes aligned with the contact's current lead purpose.

Steps to Set Up Contact Lead Purpose is Changed Automation:

  1. In the top navigation bar, select Marketing.

  2. Under Marketing section , select Automations.

  3. To create a new automation, click the “New Automation” button in the upper-right corner. Once you click , a modal pop-up will appear. Enter an automation name and click the "+" icon to create a new folder or select a folder and click the "save" button.

  4. In the automation setup, click the Add Trigger button.

  5. Select the Contact Lead Purpose Changed trigger from the automation trigger dropdown, then choose the specific lead purpose that should trigger the automation.
    For Example: Purchase.

  6. To add additional automation trigger conditions, click the "+" icon to include AND / OR conditions as needed. Once the trigger conditions are configured, click Save.

  7. Click the plus (+) icon to add an action. In the Automation Actions popup to select any one of the actions. you can preview the email template click the eye icon and then click Add to configure the action.
    For Example: Select the action Send Email to Contact and choose the required Email Template.

  8. To assign or change a folder for a contact, click the Folder icon. In the modal popup, select a Global Folder or a User Folder, then click Save to apply your changes.

  9. To add an end condition to this automation, click the "End Conditions" button to stop the automation trigger when the specified conditions are met. Learn more about end condition.

  10. And here you can exclude the contacts based on the tags. Click the Exclude Contacts button. In the popup select the tag which you need to exclude for this automation. And click save to exclude from this automation. Learn more about exclude contacts.

  11. Toggle the status from Inactive to Active and Click Save Automation to save your setup.

  12. The automation will be run based on the following condition.
    ​The automation trigger condition will be trigger when the Contact Lead purpose is changed to Purchase from the existing contact.
