Automation is a powerful way to streamline your workflow, but without the right controls, it can lead to unnecessary actions or repetitive messaging. That’s why AccountableCRM has introduced the End Condition feature — designed to give you greater flexibility, control, and accuracy in your automation sequences.
The End Condition is a feature within our automation settings that allows you to stop an automation sequence when certain criteria are met, based on your customized preferences. This ensures that your contacts only continue in the workflow when it’s truly necessary — avoiding redundancy and enhancing personalization.
Note: This article applies to Individual-Level, Company-Level, and Global-Level Automations, as the configuration of End Conditions follows the same process across all automation levels.
Why Use End Conditions?
Avoid Irrelevant Messaging: Ensure contacts don’t receive emails or tasks that no longer apply to their current status.
Protect the User Experience: Eliminate duplicate or confusing communications by exiting contacts at the right moment.
Improve Automation Efficiency: Keep workflows clean, purposeful, and aligned with real-time activity.
Boost Team Confidence: Know that your automations are always acting with smart guardrails in place.
Steps to use "End Condition" in automation:
Learn more about how to create a regular automation.
Once the automation is configured, there may be cases where it should not trigger for certain contacts, even if they meet the main trigger criteria. In such scenarios, the End Condition feature can be used to exclude specific contacts from the automation flow.
The End Condition acts as a control mechanism that stops the automation from executing when defined exclusion rules are met. This helps ensure automations run only for the intended contacts and prevents unnecessary actions.
This feature within our automation settings allows an automation sequence to stop when specific criteria are met. If the End Condition is met, any further actions in the automation will not be executed for that contact.
You want set the end condition for specific contact click the End Condition option in the automation Page.
In the modal popup, select contact the field for which you want to define the condition.
Click the "+" icon to add another condition if multiple criteria are required to stop the automation.
For instance, if a user sets the trigger as “Transaction is created” and the action as “Home Purchase Anniversary ,” but wants this automation to apply only to B2C contacts, they can configure the End Condition as “Contact Type = B2B.
In this setup, even if the trigger condition is met, the automation will stop for B2B contacts and will execute only for B2C contacts.
