How to Use the Follow-Up Tab in Accountable

Updated this week

The Follow-Up Tab is your command center for staying on top of every task, follow-up, and relationship in your pipeline. It organizes your daily priorities into three simple sections so you always know exactly where to focus.

Three Key Sections

  • Today

This is your daily action list.

Every follow-up or task due today will appear here so you can start your morning with focus and clarity. By working directly from this list, you’ll know exactly who to call, email, or meet with—no second-guessing or wasted time. Treat this section as your daily game plan: complete what’s here first before moving on to anything else.

  • Past Due

Life and business get busy, and sometimes tasks slip through the cracks.

The Past Due section is designed to help you quickly identify and catch up on those missed follow-ups. This prevents opportunities from falling off your radar and helps you rebuild momentum with prospects or partners. Use this area as your safety net to stay accountable and keep relationships strong, even if you’ve fallen behind.

  • Future

The Future section gives you visibility into what’s coming up in the days and weeks ahead. By previewing upcoming follow-ups, you can prepare in advance, block time on your calendar, and approach conversations with confidence. Think of this as your forward-looking strategy tool—keeping you proactive instead of reactive.

Viewing & Managing Your Tasks

Within each section, your tasks are displayed in a list format with the following columns:

  • Contact – The person tied to the task or follow-up.

  • Type – The activity (call, email, meeting, etc.).

  • Description – Notes about what needs to be done.

  • Date/Time – When the task is due.

  • Due – The current status of the task (today, overdue, or upcoming).

Pro Tips for Best Results

  • Start your day in the Today tab to knock out your priorities.

  • Check Past Due regularly to stay accountable.
