Accountable uses SendGrid to deliver your emails reliably. By default, all companies send through our shared SendGrid account. Depending on how you want your emails to appear to recipients, you have a few options.
Default Sending (Fastest Setup)
All emails are sent through Accountable’s SendGrid account.
If you send from your own domain (e.g., [email protected] ), recipients may see: via accountablecrm.com next to your address.
This is completely normal and ensures your emails are delivered.
Remove “via accountablecrm.com” (Domain Authentication)
If you want emails to come directly from your domain without the “via accountablecrm.com” label:
Open the Coach on Call chat inside Accountable.
Request Domain Authentication for your company domain.
Our support team will provide you with DNS records (CNAME, SPF, DKIM) to add in your domain host (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.).
Once you update your DNS and the records verify, your emails will appear as coming directly from yourdomain.com.
Best for: Professional branding, stronger deliverability, customer-facing communications.
Use Your Own SendGrid Account
For complete control, you can connect your own SendGrid account instead of using AccountableCRM:
Create a SendGrid account at sendgrid.com (if you don’t already have one).
Generate an API Key in your SendGrid account.
In Accountable, go to:
Company Admin → Integrations → SendGrid.
Paste your API key and save.
Your company will now send all emails using your own SendGrid account. You’ll manage your own sending IPs, authentication, and deliverability.
Best for: Companies with higher email volumes or strict brand/domain control.
Which Option Should I Choose?
Just getting started? → Use the default (fastest, no setup).
Want branded sending? → Request Domain Authentication.
Need full control or large volumes? → Use your own SendGrid account.
