How Can Company Admins Import Contacts Within the Company?

Company Admins can import contacts, enabling administrators to add multiple contacts to Accountable CRM in a single process. Supported file uploads allow company users to organize and manage contact data efficiently without manual entry, improving accuracy and saving time. This functionality ensures a centralized and consistently up-to-date contact database across the organization.

Steps to Upload Contacts in Companies:

  1. Click the “Admin” tab in the top navigation bar of the CRM dashboard.

  2. Select the "Imports", from the Company Dashboard page.

  3. On the Import page, click import contacts . You will be redirected to the import contact page.

  4. On the Import Contacts page, download the CSV template based on the contact field type (B2C or B2B) and enter the required details. Alternatively, if you are using your own CSV file, include the email addresses of the respective company users in a separate column. Assigned User Email to ensure that each imported contact is assigned to the correct user. Once the file is ready, click “Select CSV to Upload” to proceed with the import.

  5. Once your CSV has been uploaded, you will be presented with a list of field names on the left and drop-downs on the right. The fields on the left are the field names in our system. The drop-downs are column headers from your CSV. Simply match your column headers with our field names.

  6. On the Company Custom Fields page, you can view the details of your custom fields, and you can also see them displayed here.

  7. When importing contacts, you have the option to overwrite categories and tags for existing contacts. To enable this, simply check the "Overwrite Existing Contacts" option during import. This overwrite will apply only if an existing contact matches by both first name and email address.

    Note: This setting will only update the contact’s categories and tags—it will not alter any other contact information.

  8. Once you completed the process click on "Finish Importing."

  9. And your contact will be successfully imported to the respective user, If you want to upload more contact click "Upload More Contacts".

  10. Now Login as the company user and see whether the imported contact is created under the user.
