If you have a list of full names in one column and need to separate them into First Name and Last Name, Excel provides a few easy ways to do this.

Steps to split the first name and last name in Excel :
Select the column that contains the full names (e.g. Column A).
Go to the Data tab in the top bar.
In the Drop down menu , Click on Split Text to Columns.
In the wizard that appears, click the Delimiter dropdown and choose the appropriate option
In the drop down menu, click the Space.
The first and last names will now appear in two separate columns.
And also, Select all the names in the column and use the Split Text to Columns option to separate the values into First Name and Last Name.
